Get Lasting Relief From Chronic Pain
At CU Healing Arts, Chuck Segard is the massage therapist who performs deep tissue massage by concentrating on the deeper layers of the body’s soft tissue to release persistent pain and tension patterns. Slow and methodical strokes are applied to the top layers of affected areas in order to penetrate to deeper muscle layers and achieve lasting relief from chronic pain. P.A.R.T. of DZR
Pacific and Asian Restoration Therapies of DanZanRyu is an integrated combination of the healing techniques of ancient Chinese and Japanese martial and healing art forms and Hawaiian Lomilomi massage. P.A.R.T. of DZR is a deep tissue style of bodywork that promotes and improves blood and qi circulation, strengthening the body's energy systems, and leaving you with a feeling of being integrated.
This general circulation treatment is an assessment tool done while balancing and strengthening the body's protective energy (Wei Qi). When stagnation is removed on a regular therapeutic basis, it helps protect against pain, stiffness, and inflammation.
P.A.R.T. of DZR also uses a variety of liniments (topical applications) that aid the healing process. Externally applied, they have been found to ease pain and accelerate healing. They can be combined with P.A.R.T. of DZR's Seifukujitsu protocols to address specific problems in the body.

Benefits of This Massage Technique
- Chronic pain relief
- Improved flexibility and mobility
- Improved posture and physical performance
- Release of tension and tightened muscles in affected areas
Learn More About Acupressure Therapy
Acupressure balances the body’s balancing forces of negative yin and positive yang energy. This procedure doesn't only treat the entire body structure but also helps balance the mind and spirit.
Chuck performs acupressure massage therapy by applying gentle pressure to precise points on the body. You can remain fully clothed during the session.
Relief for a Range of Health Conditions
Acupressure recipients usually report a positive experience, with significant relief from pain. This form of therapy is useful in preventing nausea following chemotherapy treatments and helps alleviate chronic depression and anxiety disorders.
Chuck will use his fingers, hands, and arms to access acupressure points. In most cases, the therapy also includes a massage using hands and forearms. Acupressure usually lasts for around 60 to 90 minutes and is often accompanied by another massage therapy.
